Artist Bio

Jingyi Ge, or Roxane, is a China born artist currently located in New York, US. In their pieces, they focus on one question: who am I? All of their works are highly personal,  however they still process the ability to relate to the audience. They mainly use dry media in their practice, recently they started to experiment with mixed media in their artworks, such as dirts, tapes, fabrics and paints. Roxane explores their inner world within their artworks by making expressive marks, conceptual installations and surreal images. Roxane believes that by making art, they can prove to themselves and others that they truly exist in this world.
